Sixteen rooms, a courtyard with wood-burning fireplaces, a library for slow mornings and a bar just off the lobby. Hotel Cheval is tucked away off Paso Robles' historic town square, and it runs on a simple idea: with so few rooms, hospitality can be personal in the plainest sense of the word.
You won't feel like a guest checking in. You'll feel like someone who was expected.

Each room is named for a historically significant horse, hung with original artwork and furnished in a classic style with a contemporary edge. Beamed or vaulted ceilings, a fire to light, a patio to step out onto: the details change from room to room, and each one is worth choosing.

California King beds with 400-thread-count sheets and white goose down comforters and pillows. Hypo-allergenic bedding on request.
Bathe
Oversized walk-in European showers with thermostatic controls. A few rooms have tubs; the hotel was built with water conservation in mind.

Original artwork, a 48-inch flat-screen TV with digital cable, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property.
